Everything important is posted here. Rules, plots, information-- you best read all of it so you know what's happening. It's also a good place to look when you're thinking about joining.
Talk about anything, play games, ask questions, introduce yourself, or leave a note of absence; it all happens here, and most of it is OOC. Unless you're on the Introductory board or The Block, posting is disabled, because that's cheating.
The Thread Tracker is where you can post information on your characters and what thread they're in, as well as other nifty info that can help you stay organized. It's not mandatory, and there's no form, but it comes in handy.
All threads that are no longer active (aka "dead") are moved to here and locked so they can still be viewed if for some reason needed. PM a staff member if an active thread accidentally ends up here.
All accepted applications are moved here. The threads are not locked in case you need to change or update something, but if you're going to make any major changes, please let a staff member know first.
Also known as "relationship charts," they're used to list and track friends, enemies, family, etc. between the residence of Neclymoure. Come to the Classifieds to suggest a mini plot.
A few people have managed to gather together and create The Neclymoure Times, a fairly reliable newspaper. Different writers have different columns, each of them being of special topics, like what might possibly be going on in the outside world, or who is selling pie.
For those who actually don't mind writing, there is plenty of paper available about town to make your own journal. Record your hopes, dreams, fears, loves, friends, and more. Hide them well.
There are no cell phones or computers in Neclymoure, which means the only way to communicate without talking would be to send a letter or leave a note. Send and reply to 'em here.
The first thing you see once you're forced into Neclymoure is this sign. All it says is, "Welcome." For many, it's a symbol of fate. It's not uncommon to see someone standing by the wood crying. A lot of people also come here because it had the best view of the field surrounding the dome.
Though there are slightly newer ones in town, the streets that circle the outside of Neclymoure at the dome's edge are cobblestone. People come to the streets for all different reasons- take a walk, sell your latest line of bracelets, run around naked because you're drunk, etc.
A lot of work is done to keep a steady food supply, and a good chunk of it happens here, in the land dedicated to growing crops. Trespassers are looked down upon, though that doesn't always matter. Corn fields make good secret meeting places, but they're easy to get lost in.
If a farmer lives in a house without land, they'll get a pasture for their animals. The pastures are fairly large and filled with wild grass that apparently is safe enough for the animals.
Neclymoure Cemetery is small and it isn't fenced in. Only a few graves are inside, but it's a cemetery nonetheless. Ghosts are rumored to float the lands at night.
There is one stables in Neclymoure, and how the two original horses that belong to it got there no one is sure. The female is a 20 year old Quarter Horse who is used mainly to get around town, and the male is a 15 year old mix of draft breeds. He's used to pull carriages and plows, etc. There is also a foal who is not trained. You must ask permission to rent one from the owner, but it's free to come see them.
Here is the place where most people who live in the dome come to sell whatever they've made, like bread, a book, or jewelry. It's usually filled with noise from people yelling what they have and how little they'll sell it for.
This is the only bar inside of the dome. The drinks served have something in them-- whether or not that something is alcohol remains a mystery. It's small and lacks decent lighting, but there's usually a couple of people willing to chat with you.
At some point or another, an old woman who had dared to speak her mind in the real world decided the people of Neclymoure needed a "good, Christian Church." So here it is-- St. Peter's Church. Not many people know it exists, and even fewer are interested in joining.
The small group that considers themselves to be the City Council meets here every month or so to make decisions that won't necessarily affect people who don't want to follow rules.
The old building has been in the dome longer than the humans, and it's filled to the ceiling with every kind of book you could imagine. And there's no rule that you have to be quiet. The only light comes from the huge windows on the sides and some candles, so hiding in the library is easy.
Everyone is given a house once they are pushed into the dome, even if they choose not to live in it. They're usually small brick buildings or log cabins, depending if it's in or out of town, with a few tightly-packed rooms.
There are simply a lot of empty buildings left in Neclymoure. They can be used for a meeting place, to explore, and everything else you can come up with. Since no one owns them, you can't get in trouble for going in, and you'll rarely run into someone else while inside them.

We're an intermediate site, but anyone who can post 200 words or above and has decent grammar skills may join.
